Heat Pump Fundamentals For Property Owners and Developers

This course provides Property Owners, Developers, and Asset Managers with essential knowledge on using heat pumps to support decarbonization in commercial buildings, focusing on Class B and C properties, business case development, and basic technical design considerations for operational management. These buildings, often older and in need of efficiency upgrades, offer significant potential for energy and carbon reduction.

Instructor: Sarkis Platis
A sustainability specialist with a focus on community infrastructure, Sarkis possesses expertise in existing building energy analysis, greenhouse gas emission accounting, and decarbonization strategies. Sarkis has seven years of experience decarbonizing all building types including industrial, institutional, education, labs, offices, and residential. As a LEED AP, he is passionate about developing a sustainable built environment.
The course is being held in-person and pre-registration is required.  A $50 charge will be applied at the time of registration, which will be fully reimbursed upon attendance. If you are a student facing financial constraints, you may request a waiver by contacting HRAI at training@hrai.ca
