Mylene Beaulieu - Ozone Depleting Substance Program Manager - Department of Environment and Local Government
Originally from Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Mylene was born and raised in the community before pursuing studies in Civil Engineering at CCNB Edmundston, where Mylene graduated as a P-Tech. After completing this education, Mylene moved to Fredericton for work and currently holds a position with the New Brunswick Department of Environment.
Since 2020, Mylene has been serving as the Ozone Depleting Substances Manager, focusing on environmental protection and regulatory management related to substances that impact the ozone layer.
In addition to this professional role, Mylene dedicated several years to public service as a volunteer firefighter, serving approximately 6–7 years in total. About 4–5 of those years were spent with the Grand Falls Fire Department, followed by additional service with the Nashwaak Fire Department.
Outside of work, Mylene enjoys powerlifting, drawing, and spending time with a small circle of close friends. Mylene is also a proud parent to a 22-year-old daughter, who shares the same artistic interests—though, as Mylene likes to say, she’s the upgraded version 2.0.
For fun, Mylene’s favorite DC Comics character from the Batman series is Poison Ivy, often jokingly described as a “misunderstood environmentalist.”
